Bi-monthly E-resource Review

UpToDate is an evidence-based clinical information resource available to clinicians on the Internet. UpToDate is designed to get clinicians the concise, practical answers they need when they need them the most - at the point of care. Topic reviews are written exclusively for UpToDate by clinicians for clinicians - nearly 3,000 clinicians serve as authors. The content is comprehensive yet concise and it is fully referenced. It goes through a peer review process to ensure that the information and recommendations you access are accurate and reliable.

Start your search in UpToDate by typing a single concept into the search box. Feel free to use natural language, abbreviations or root words. The system will guide you through narrowing your search by showing you titles of available reviews or making suggestions to modify your search by only looking for a particular aspect of the topic, such as treatment or diagnosis.

When you have chosen a topic review, the sections of the review will be outlined on the left. You can click on a topic on the left and the review will jump to that section. You may prefer to scroll through the entire review. There are links to other reviews, references and drugs within the review you have retrieved. Graphics pop up in a separate window. They can be easily printed or exported into PowerPoint. A printer- friendly version of the review is available as well as offering to email the review.
