One of the advantages of searching these databases via OVID is the standard interface which enable a range of sophisticated searching tools. Such features include field searching, multiple limit options, provision of thesaurus or index searching where available, ability to save search histories, options for displaying, saving and emailing records in different formats, and links to some full-text journals. You also have the ability to search up to 5 databases at once, or to change from one database to another and run your existing search strategy. There is also an Auto Alert facility which emails you new records on your chosen topic. For more information about the individual databases log on to Ovid and click on the Information button.
